The Last Sermon of Muhammad [Peace be upon him]

      The Last Sermon of
Muhammad[Peace be upon him]

*
Final Messenger of Allah

[This sermon was delivered on the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah 10 a.h in the Uranah Valley of Mount Arafat]

"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I don't know whether, after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you.

Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. Allah has forbidden you to take usury (Interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived..

Beware of Satan, for your safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have right over you. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness.

Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to commit adultery.

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadhan, and give your wealth in Zakat.Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before Allah and answer for your deeds. So beware, do not astray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly.

Be my witness oh Allah that I have conveyed your message to your people."

Final Messenger of Allah- Muhammad Rasulullah [peace be upon him]

The Beloved and Final Messenger
Rasulullah Muhammad
Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam[peace be upon him]

"We have not sent thee(Muhammad[pbuh]) Except as a Mercy to the Worlds." (Surah 21 Aayat 107)

"Certainly, there is an excellent example for you in the Messenger of Allah, for him who looks forward to Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much." (Quran-33:21)

Muhammed sallallahu alayhi wa sallam rose like the sun from the horizon of Arabia and dissipated the intense darkness around the globe. His personality embodied the boldness of Mûsa alayhis salâm , the courteousness of Harûn alayhis salâm , the patience of Ayûb alayhis salâm , the grandeur of Sulaiman alayhis salâm and the humility of Isa alayhis salâm. His leadership stands unparalleled in the annals of history. He despised the pomp of royalty, dutifully carried out the menial tasks of the family, he kindled the fire, swept the floor, milked the cows and mended his own shoes and garments.

The Mission of  Muhammad(Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam)

The mission of Nabi sallallahu alayhi wasallam is eloquently portrayed in a speech which Ja'far (radhi allahu anhu) made to the ruler of Abyssinia in Africa. He said :

"O king! We were a people of ignorance, worshiping idols, eating the flesh of dead animals, committing abominations, neglecting our relations, doing evil to our neighbours and the strong amongst us would oppress the weak. We were in this state when Allah Ta'ala sent to us a messenger from amongst us, whose descent and sincerity, trustworthiness and honesty were known to us. He summoned us to the worship of one true Allah and to divest ourselves of the stones and idols which we and our forefathers had been ascribing to Allah. He ordered us to be truthful in speech, to fulfill all that is entrusted to us, to care for our relatives, to be kind to our neighbours, to refrain from unlawful food and the consumption of blood. He forbade us from engaging in shameful acts and false speech..."

The Fundamental Principles Expounded by  Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam at the Farewell Pilgrimage

  1. Belief in one object of worship
  2. Equality of men, irrespective of colour or nationality.
  3. Superiority based solely on piety.
  4. Sanctity of life, property and honour.
  5. Abolition of interest and usury.
  6. The rights and fair treatment of women.
  7. The concept of accountability and personal responsibility.
  8. Importance of the pillars of religion i.e. prayer, fasting, charity and pilgrimage.
  9. The Qur'ân and sunnah as the only source of salvation.
  10. The obligation of (dawah & tabligh)conveying the message.

The Messenger of Allah Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

"None of you has perfect faith until I am more beloved to him than his parents, his children and all the people".

(Hadith)

Importance of Salaat-Salaam (Durood Shareef/ Sending Blessings)

"Allah and his angels send blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe! Send your blessings on him, and salute him with all respects." (The Holy Quran 56:33)

Abdullah Ibn Abbas Radiallahu anhu reports that Rasulullah (pbuh) said,

"Whoever recites the following Salaat-Salaam(Durood) once, Allah will instruct the angels to keep writing good  deeds for him for a thousand days."

Jazallahu annaa muhammadan ma huwa ahluhu

Translation: May Allah reward Muhammad, on our behalf, as much as he deserves. (Hadith recorded in Tabrani)

May Allah bestow us with true and sincere Love of Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam and may Allah give us the strenght and courage to follow the noble and beautiful lifestyle of the the Last & Final Messenger of Allah Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam- Ameen

Enjoy the Water and Be Safe!

Enjoy the Water and Be Safe!

Pools are awesome! What could be better than a dip in the pool and fun in the sun?

Keeping ourselves and our kids fit and healthy within the laws of Sharia is an important part of Deen(Islam).

The Messenger of Allah Muhammad[peace be upon him)said, "Teach your children swimming, archery and horse riding".

A child has a right to sustenance, education, and proper care. The parents or guardians are not permitted to neglect the child's needs nor to abuse it The Prophet (peace be on him) said: "Each one of you is a caretaker (ra'iy) and is responsible for those under his care." (Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim)

"Allah will ask every caretaker (ra'iy) about the people under his care, and the man will be asked concerning the people of his household." (Reported by Ahmad, al-Nisai, and Abu Daoud)

Drowning is the second most common cause of death from injuries among kids under the age of 14. Parents/guardians should not be fooled into thinking that their child is safe just because he/she knows how to swim. In a lot of cases accidents happened even though the child knew swimming. Accidents in the swimming pool can happen very suddenly without warning. It is very important that all parents follow these basic safety precautions especially if there is a swimming pool at home.

Drowning can happen so fast — sometimes in less than a minute after a person's head goes under the water. That leaves very little time for someone to help.

Many drownings and near-drownings occur when a kid accidentally falls into a swimming pool. But accidents can happen anywhere — at someone's home or even at your own house, and that's why you need to know how to be safe around water.

Some Handy Tips!

  • Always make dua and ask Allah's help and protection before swimming. At least say : "Bismillah" (I begin in the name of Allah) and say " Oh Allah Grant me safety and protection from any harm and keep me always safe and healthy"
  • Always ensure that the swim outfits appropriate within the expectable limits of sharia.
  • Never - not even for a second, leave children alone around open standing water of any kind - Swimming Pool, Spa, Pond, River etc…
  • Always know where your children are.
  • Never rely entirely on a safety device or product - nothing can replace constant adult supervision.
  • Never allow your children to swim alone or without an adult present.
  • Check the pool first when your child is missing.
  • Never think or assume that someone is watching your child unless you have designated an adult to watch the water.
  • When entertaining or using the pool always designate an adult, who can swim, to watch the water at all times. If there are many kids going to swim than it is better to hire a lifeguard.
  • Maintain your pool. Keep the water clear and clean so visibility is kept at a maximum.
  • Do not swim in thunderstorms or any bad weather.
  • Position all swimming pool jets in such a way that any floating objects will end up in the shallow end of the pool close to the steps or ladder.
  • Remove all toys and floating objects from the pool when it is not in use.
  • Never allow bikes and 'rideable' toys in the pool area.
  • Have a telephone/mobile phone available. Have a list of emergency numbers easily accessible.
  • Never go to answer a door or telephone bell while your children are swimming or your pool is unprotected. Take them out first!
  • Buy and have on hand safety equipment - life preservers, life jackets, etc...
  • If you have a pool safety fence - do not leave chairs, ladders or other objects near the pool that would allow a child to climb up and over. Make sure all fence gates have self-closing latches.
  • Make sure your child understands how jumping or diving into water can result in injury. Know the depth of the water and the location of underwater hazards before permitting children to jump or dive.
  • Teach your children to swim and cope with all conditions of all types of water - e.g. depth, water temperature, tides, currents, and weather.
  • Use approved personal flotation devices whenever on a boat or fishing, and while playing near a river, lake, or ocean.
  • Teach your child to never attempt to rescue a pet without adult supervision
  • Inform your child of the methods to obtain help.
  • Learn CPR and support the inclusion of CPR training in school.
  • Counsel children especially teenagers about the dangers of alcohol and drug consumption. Teenage pool parties are prone to these activities and can have fatal consequences.
  • Remove all water from containers, such as drums , baths etc immediately after use and put containers away.
  • Do not leave children unattended in the bathroom. Never leave a child unattended in the bath. Keep toilet lids closed and locked and bath plugs out of reach.
  • Make sure children's caregivers and supervisors know all the safety precautions and are fully trained in CPR.
  • Swim at a depth that is safe for you. If you're just learning to swim, stay in the shallow end.
  • Don't push or jump on others. You could accidentally hurt someone or yourself.
  • Toys to help you float come in many shapes and sizes (an inner tube, air mattress, or beach ball, for example). Although they are fun and can help you while you learn to swim, what they can't do is save a life. They're toys that can lose air or float away.
  • Remember a pool's sides and bottom are usually made of concrete, a rock-hard material. A slip or fall could be painful and dangerous.
  • Don't chew gum or eat while you swim — you could choke.
  •   Surround your pool on all round with a sturdy fence.
  • Make sure the gates self-close and self-latch at a height children can't reach.
  • Always than Allah after every swimming session. Say: "Allhamdulillah" (All Praise belongs to Allah) and say: "Oh Allah we thank you for allowing us to swim safely and always keeps us in Your protection"  Ameen!

Wherever you're swimming, do have a waterfall of fun!

SINCERE GRATITUTE AND REGRET!!!

SINCERE GRATITUTE AND REGRET!!!
Willingness to accept responsibility for the harm we may have caused or express thankfulness for the benefits we may have received are signs of moral maturity
How uncommon has common courtesy become? "Thank you" and "I'm sorry" are amazingly powerful expressions that could convey authentic appreciation or genuine remorse. These are common phrases that are unfortunately becoming increasingly rare.
"If you give thanks , I will give you more (of My Blessings).'' (Quran 14:7)
The Messenger of Allah [peace be upon him] said :"He who does not thank people, does not thank Allah". ( Ahmad, Tirmidhi )
One of the most devastating realities has been the fact that people for whom you truly care and for whom you do the most are often the ones who turn out to be the most ungrateful. They suffer deliberate amnesia (forgetfulness) and, in the process, even deny their indebtedness. Those for whom you would stake your prized privileges are often the ones who later undermine your integrity for the sake of fame or material gain. Such are they who have no conscience.
Conscience is that internal compass that directs us towards sound moral judgement. It measures our attitudes and conduct in relation to our ethical principles. Conscience manifests its judgements with the reward of peace of mind for those who do what they should, and with the penalty of guilt for those who don't. If we consider ourselves good, and don't have the decency to do what we should, then we are not really as good as we think we are.
People of conscience are people of character and good character (akhlaaq) is in fact ethics in action. People of character have the emotional intelligence to realize their errors and to acknowledge their indebtedness to others and thus possess the moral courage to express genuine regret by saying "I'm sorry," or genuine appreciation by saying "Thank you".
Willingness to accept responsibility for the harm we may have caused or express thankfulness for the benefits we may have received are signs of moral maturity. Heartfelt apologies could lead to reconciliation and easing of tension while sincere expressions of gratitude are valued gifts to people who have privileged us. Absence of an appropriate thanks or an owed apology could be damaging.
Don't get  it wrong, people do sometimes use "Thank you" and "I'm sorry" but merely as a hollow rule of custom. In one's absence they negate their thankfulness or regret in the company of others. Such "Thank you " and "Sorry" means absolutely nothing. We even teach our little kindergarten kids to say "Thank you" but too often it connotes only formalistic politeness without nurturing true feelings of gratitude. If we say "Thank you" without really feeling thankful or "Sorry" without experiencing real regret then these words merely serve as mindless rituals; just like a wrapped gift box without any gift inside.
It takes strength of ego and tremendous moral fortitude to comply with ethical standards of true accountability.
The arrogant and the morally bankrupt do not, therefore, express remorse or regret easily. Genuine apology arises out of a conscience that values ethical principles of respect and responsibility. The only kind of apology that truly merits forgiveness is the apology of those who sincerely acknowledge and accept personal accountability for their misconduct and genuinely regret the consequences of their wrongdoings. The Prophet [pbuh]is reported to have said: "Real regret (nadam) is the basis for true repentance."
The ethical dimension to gratitude demands genuine thankfulness proportionate to the blessings received, never to deny those blessings nor devalue the worth of those who so bless us.
The Messenger of Allah Muhammad [peace be upon him] said:"The Merciful One shows mercy to those who are themselves merciful (to others). So show mercy to whatever is on earth, then He who is in heaven will show mercy to you " ( Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi )

The Shipwreck

The Shipwreck

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small,  uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for Allah to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming. He nevertheless remained hopeful of Allah's help and continued his praying every day.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements and to store his few possessions. But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, the smoke rolling up to the sky.

The "worst" had happened; everything was lost. He was stunned with grief. "Allah, how could this happen to me!" he cried. Early the next day, just before Fajr Salaah( early morning prayer) he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" the man asked the sailors on the ship. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It is easy to get discouraged when things are going badly. But we shouldn't lose heart, because Allah is at work in our lives, even in the midst of pain and suffering.

Remember, next time your little hut is burning to the ground--it just may be a smoke signal that summons The Grace and help of Allah!

Allah the Almighty says in the Quran:

"And in Allah (Alone) let the believers, put their trust.'' (14:11)

"And whosoever puts his trust in Allah, then He will suffice him". (65:3)

Beautiful Gems from the Garden of Islam

Beautiful Gems from the Garden of Islam

The Prophet of Allah [Salallaho alaihe wassallam] is reported to have said:

"Anyone who wants high palaces and high stages in Jannah[Paradise]:

  • should forgive the one oppressing him
  • he should give to the one who deprives him
  • and he should keep up relations and communication with one who severs ties." [HADITH]
Certain people are such that even if one shows kindnesses to them, they do not do so in return. The rule for them is that even if they keep severing ties, one should keep maintaining ties with them and forgive them. We learn from this hadith that Allâh has promised beautiful mansions and high stages for the person who practises the above.

"One who controls his anger inspite of having strength to enforce it, Allâh will fill his heart with Imân and peace." [Hadith]

Zaitoon (Olive) is Cure for Seventy Diseases

Zaitoon (Olive) is Cure for Seventy Diseases

Zaitoon (Olive) the sign of peace and friendship in this world has its description in Holy Qur'an Allah (swt) says:

  1. By the fig and olive
  2. And the mount of Sinai
  3. And the city of security
  4. We have indeed created man in the best of moulds
  5. Then do we abase him (to be) the lowest of low
  6. Except such as believe and do righteous deeds for they shall have a reward unfailing
  7. What then, can after this, make you deny the last judgement
  8. Is not Allah the wisest of judges" (The Fig, Surah 95)

The plant of olive goes up to the height of 3 metres, leaves are bright green and very attractive and the fruits are of bright bluish or violet colour, possesses a metallic taste. It is known from old ages. During the excavation of ancient Egyptian graves, vessels full of olive oil were found with other articles. According to the scholars of Hadith, on subsidence of Toofan-E-Nooh, when water level came down, the first thing on the earth that was seen, was the olive plant.

The plant is extensively found in Asia minor, Palestine, Roman territory, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Italy, North Africa, Algeria, Tunisia, California in America, Mexico, Peru and South zone of Australia. Usually it is imported from Spain, Italy, France, Turkey and Greece. Though olive fruits are very nutritious it is not usually eaten due to its metallic taste. Rather pickles of its fruits are largely consumed in Europe. The fruits preserved in vinegar is imported from Greece and liked very much in Europe and in Arabian countries.

Olive oil is a good preservative for other eatables too. Sardine and other fishes are tinned and preserved in olive oil. The smoke-less burning of olive oil is a peculiar feature, which produces a bright light. Holy Qur'an stresses the importance of Zaitoon on several occasions: (141-M-AlInaam-6), (99-K-AlInaam-6), (11-K-AlNahl-16), (AlNoor-35), (Moominoon).

Hazrat Sayyed Al-Ansari narrates that the Prophet (saws) said "Eat the olive oil and massage it over your bodies since it is a holy (mubarak) tree." (Tirmizi, Ibn Maja)

Hazrat Alqama Bin Amir narrates that Prophet (saws) said, " There is olive oil for you, eat it, massage over your body, since it is effective in Haemorrhoids (Piles)." (Ibn Al-Jozi, Zanbi)

Hazrat Aqba Bin Amir narrates that the Prophet (saws) stated, "You have the olive oil from this Holy (mubarak) tree, treat yourself with this, since it cures the Anal fissure (Basoor)." Khalid Bin Saad narrates "I came to Madinah with Ghalib Bin Al Jabr. Ghalib became ill during the journey. Ibn Abi Ateeq came to see him and told a narration from Hazrat Aisha that the Prophet (saws) told about the cure in Kalonji. We crushed a few seeds of Kalonji and mixed it with olive oil and dropped in both nostrils, after which Ghalib became healthy." (Ibn Maja, Bukhari)

Hazrath Abu Hurairah (t) narrates that the Prophet (saws) stated, " Eat the olive oil and apply it (locally), since there is cure for seventy diseases in it, one of them is Leprosy." (Abu Naim)

Hazrat Zaid Bin Arqam narrates " We have been directed by the Prophet (saws) that we should treat the Pleurisy with Qust-e-Behri (Qust Sheerin) and olive oil." (Tirmizi, sanadeAhmed, Ibn Maja)

Olive oil has a place in Govt Pharmacopeia of USA and Britain (British Pharmacopeia). Both of these countries have given prime importance to olive oil for the treatment of various ailments and have fixed standard parameters to evaluate its purity.

It contains Palmatic Acid, Oleic Acid, Linoleic Acid, Steanic Acid, Myristic Acid and Glycerides. It is not dissolved in water but in Alcohol, Ether, Chloroform and Liquid Paraffin.

The adulterant very often used in the olive are of the seeds of Tea Plant, Arachis oil in the market samples of olive oil. Sometimes Machine Gun oil and refined Mobile oil are also found.

Olive oil is extracted from the ripened fruits. The unripe and over ripe fruits contain less amount of the oil. The fruits are processed three times. Successively, the first round oil is the best in quality, golden in colour, with a light fragrance and known as virgin oil. Some varieties of olive oil remained unchanged in its effectiveness for years together. It contains therapeutic potential even if it is a thousand years old. Despite the prime importance and holiness given by Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad (saws) no work has been done to find out its efficacy for the ailments other than the Haemorrhoids, Anal fissure, Skin diseases, pleurisy and leprosy, which are already described by the Prophet (saws) , whereas the Prophet (saws) himself says us that it contains cure for seventy diseases.

According to Ibn Al-Qayyim the red coloured oil is better than blackish one. It is an exhilarant, glows up the facial complexion, provides prevention against poisons, regulates the digestive process, expels the intestinal parasites, makes the hair lustrous and minimises the ageing problems. The massage of olive oil with common salt over the gums is a remedy for several diseases of gums and teeth. The local application of olive oil or the water extracted from the crushed olive oil leaves is effective on boils, rashes and itching. The chronic ulcers and boils, which show difficult healing condition, are healed up with the use of olive oil locally.

According to Zahbi it strengthens the hairs and body, hence could be used as a good tonic in old age problems and to delay the ageing process. It is also useful in sexual weakness. Combination of normal saline with olive oil is highly effective in burns cases.

The decoction of olive leaves in water is effective against mouth and lips ulcers and allergic dermatitis also. The concentrated aqueous extract of olive leaves and fruits is very effective against dental cavities and application of this solution shows very good effects on Leukoplaquea in mouth. This solution is applied with vinegar on Alopecia, grows the hair and removes the Alopecia. It is also stated that the local application of this extract removes the scars of small pox and boils. The powder of seeds mixed with butter is effective in brittle nails. The pickles prepared from olive fruits is a good appetizer and removes constipation. The smashed leaves are applied locally to check excessive perspiration. The water extracted from the leaves with honey is used as Ear drops and effective in various Ear ailments. The oil procured by burning of olive wood is effective against all fungal infection viz, Ringworm, T.versicolor etc. in addition to Eczema, Psoriasis, Dandruff and Alopecia. The local application of olive oil on scalp is highly effective against dandruff. It grows the hairs and checks, the loss of hair. The application of olive oil in eyes relieves the inflammation.

The massage of olive oil over the body tones up the muscles and organs, it relieves muscular pains. Some physicians also advocate the massage of olive oil for epilepsy. It relieves the Sciatic and arthritis. The ointment prepared from olive oil are very good healing agents. It heals the sinus and fistula very quickly. 25ml of olive oil mixed with 250ml of barley water, if taken internally, is highly effective against chronic constipation. It is good Diuretic, hence is used in Ascites. It also removes the kidney stones.

A conventional regimen is also available comprising of olive oil and other herbal drugs having potential against the Gall bladder stones. It is stated that this regimen dissolves and expels the Gall bladder stone.

In view of the researches carried out in USA and England, it is concluded that it is a good nourishing diet during the ailments of kidney, where nitrogen containing food/proteins in take is contra indicated. Since, the Prophet (saws) stated that it is a good remedy for Anal fissure, hence for the same complaint patients were advised to take two spoonful of olive oil at bedtime and an ointment was applied on fissure locally at retiring and in morning, prepared from 8 spoonfuls of olive oil and 2 spoonfuls of ground henna leaves. This showed very good effects against the problem. It is a good tonic for hair and maintains the lustre. Its combination with other prescribed drugs of Tibb-al-Nabwi is a good remedy for Psoriasis and Eczema. The impressions of several doctors practising in middle east and North Africa reveal that no case was detected of Gastro Intestinal Carcinoma, among those who were used to consuming olive oil. Japanese doctors also endorse this fact and have the opinion that olive oil prevents the incidence of Carcinoma in G.I.T.

The Prophet (saws) stated that it is a good remedy for intestinal inflammations. Therefore it was used in the cases of G.I.T ulcers and found very much effective. It is also observed that no remedy equates the benefits of olive oil in hyper acidity and gas troubles.

The Prophet (saws) recommended the use of olive oil in Pleurisy. Keeping this in view olive oil was administered in various diseases of Respiratory tract and it was observed that the regular users of olive oil were least affected with common cold and coryza and pneumonia.

The clinical experiences of well qualified and highly established doctors in the profession who take a keen insight in Prophet's medicine reveal that olive oil is a good supportive treatment in Tubercular infection of either sites. According to a narration of Kahlid Bin Saad in Ibn Maja, one spoonful of Kalonji was pulverised and mixed with 12 spoonful of olive oil. This suggestion was dropped into the nostrils morning and evening for the cases of chronic cold and epistaxis. The results were found highly positive.

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day

The Ummah is Bleeding, can We be Celebrating???
Roses are Red, Violets are Blue

…Valentines Day is definitely not for YOU!!!

"And whoever seeks a religion[a way of life] other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers" [Quran-Aal 'Imraan 3:85]

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) told us that groups of his ummah would follow the enemies of Allah in some of their rituals and customs. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "You will certainly follow the ways of those who came before you, span by span, cubit by cubit, until even if they were to enter a lizard's hole, you would follow them." We said, "O Messenger of Allah(pbuh), (do you mean) the Jews and Christians?" He said, "Who else? !" (Hadith-al-Bukhaari )

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." (narrated by Ahmad)

History: Who was Valentine? Why is this day observed? Valentine's Day began as a pagan ritual started by Romans in the 4th century BCE to celebrate "Feast of the Wolf" on February 15, also known as the Feast of Lupercalius to honor the god Lupercus. The main attraction of this ritual was a lottery held to distribute young women to young men for "entertainment & pleasure"-until the next year's lottery. Christianity tried, without success, to stop the evil celebration of Lupercalia. The only success it had was in changing the name from Lupercalia to St. Valentine's Day. It was done in CE 496 by Pope Gelasius, in honor of some Saint Valentine. There are as many as 50 different Valentines in Christian legends.

How can anyone in the Ummah really enjoy this Haraam Occasion when there is so much brutality and suffering going on in the world today. The rivers of blood flow freely from the veins of our brothers and sisters from across the Muslim world. Celebrating unislamic occassions like Valentines Day , New year, Christmas and shouting the names of musical heroes and watching Bollywood  & Hollywood Movies drown out the screams coming from the dungeons of Uzbekistan where brothers and sisters are boiled alive in vats of water. How many will take out valuable time and spend it for the upliftment of Islam? How many will sacrifice for our kin in Gaza , Kashmir, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Palestine, and Iraq? There are many more killing fields as well across the Asian and Arab world. Will you climb on theatre chairs and express your rage over Guantanamo Bay and other gulags where our brothers and sisters are being tortured, raped, sodomized, beaten, and burned? Or will you just switch off and enjoy with the Kuffar in celebrating this evil custom?

Oh,Muslims, wake up! The Ummah is not bleeding; it is haemorrhaging.

Anas Bin Malik (ra) said; "When the Messenger of Allah Muhammad(pbuh) came to Medina, the people had two holidays from the days of Jahiliyyah(ignorance). He (pbuh) said, "When I came to you, you had two holidays you used to celebrate in jahiliyyah. Allah has replaced them for you with better days, the day of Fitr and the day of slaughter (Adha)."

VALENTINES DAY IS AN UNILSAMIC CUSTOM THAT HAS NO BASIS IN ISLAM AND IS PRESENTLY BEING PROMOTED BY CAPITALIST FOR COMMERCIAL REASONS....Listen to the pain of your global family! The enemies of Allah are destroying Islam and we are following in their footsteps!
Be pro active and DO NOT- ENGAGE, SUPPORT OR ENCOURAGE THIS EVIL....!!!

If you were intending to engage in this haraam practice and Now changed your mind, then do a noble deed by donating the money to an ISLAMIC CHARITABLE CAUSE which will make you the BELOVED of ALLAH and will earn you an immense reward in the everlasting life of the hereafter!

The Story of Barseesa

The story of Barseesa, this is a man from the Children of Isreal who was a worshipper, famous worshipper, aabid. He had his temple and he devoted himself to worship in his monastery.Three men from the Children of Israel wanted to go out for jihad, al-ghazwa. They had a sister. They didn't know where to leave their sister, so they said "Where should we leave her, we can't leave her alone, where should we leave her?" They asked around, they said the best place to leave her is with that aabid, that worshipper, he's the most righteous person, he's the most trustworthy, leave your sister with him and he'll take care of her.

They went to the aabid, the worshipper, Barseesa. They told him this is the situation, we want to go out for ghazwoo, can you please take care of our sister? He said "I seek refuge in Allah from you", stay away from me. Then Shaytan came to him and said, "Who are you gonna leave her with? If you don't take care of her, an evil person may take care of her and then you know what will happen. How come you're gonna (let) this good slip out of your hands?" Shaytan is encouraging him to do good, so he called them back and he said "Ok, I'll take care of her. She's not gonna stay with me in my monastery, she's gonna stay in that home over there", he had a house, you stay there, I stay in my temple.

So she would stay in that house in the room, and he would carry the food for her and he would leave the food on his doorstep, he doesn't even want to go to her house, he would leave on the doorstep and she would have to come and pick up the food. He doesn't even want to see her. And then Shaytan came to him and said "What are you doing? Don't you know that when she walks out from her room and comes to your temple, people can see her? You have to the deliver the food to her doorstep." He said "Yes, that's true." Shaytan is not speaking to him face to face, this is was'wasa, inspirations. He said "That's true." He started taking that food and he would drop it on her doorstep. That continued for a while and then Shaytan told him "She's still opening the door and coming out to take the plate, somebody can still see her. You have to deliver the plate into her own room." Shaytan is telling him to do good things. So he started taking the plate and he would put it in the room and then he would leave. And that continued for a while and these three brothers were late, these ghazwa took a while. So Shaytan came to him and said "You're gonna leave her alone with nobody to take care of her, nobody to speak with" - she's been in there like she's in prison, speaking to no one - "so why don't you take that responsibility and go and speak with her - just socialize just a little bit to take care of her because she could go out and find another man and start having a relation with him." So he would speak from outside her room and she would be speaking from in her room and they would be screaming at each other to hear each other. Shaytan told him "Why don't you make it a little convenient for yourself, instead of screaming and hollering at each other from far distances, why don't you go and sit in the same room?" So he started sitting with her in the same room, spending some time with her, and then slowly and slowly they started spending hours and hours together, and they started getting closer and closer and closer until the great aabid committed zina. She became pregnant, the story didn't end yet.

She became pregnant, she delivered a child. Shaytan came to him and said "What have you done? Do you know what will happen when the brothers come back? They're gonna kill you. Even if you say this is not my son, they're gonna say 'Even if it's not your son, you're supposed to take care of her, it's your responsibility, we don't care who the father is, we left her as - you are the person responsible for her.' The only solution for this problem is that you kill - murder - the child and bury it." The aabid chopped out the head of the infant and he buried him. Shaytan came to him and said "Do you think that the mother will keep the secret after you killed her son? Do you think she will keep that secret?" What should I do, "You should kill her too." So he killed her. And he buried them both in that room.

The brothers came back, they came and said "Where is our sister?" He said "Inna lil'lahee wa inna ilayhee ra'jee'oon, she became ill and she died and she's buried in that place", and he went and showed them a fictitous grave. So they said "Inna lil'lahee wa inna ilayhee ra'jee'oon", they made dua for her and they went home.

At night time, one of the brothers saw a dream. Who came to him in that dream? - Shaytan. He told him "Did you believe Barseesa, did you believe him? He's lying. He committed zina with your sister and then he killed her and her son, and the evidence to prove that is that she's not buried in the place he showed you, but she's buried in her room under the rock." So he woke up and he told his brothers about the dream, they said "We saw the same dream, it must be true." They went the next day, they dug the fictitious grave, they found nothing. They went into her room, they uncovered the earth and they found their sister buried with an infant.

They grabbed Barseesa and said "You liar. This is what you have done", and they took him to the king. While they were draggin him to the king, Shaytan came to Barseesa, but now Shaytan didn't come in the form of inspiration, he came in a human form. He told him "Barseesa, do you know I am? I am Shaytan, I am the one who cause you all of that mess, and I am the only one who can deliver you out of it" - I'm the one who caused it, and I'm the one with the solution for it, it's up to you, if you want to go and die that's fine, if you want me to save you, I can. Barseesa said "Please save me." He said "Make sujood for me." Barseesa made sujood for Shaytan, what did Shaytan say, he said "Thank you very much, (it's) been a pleasure meeting you" and he never saw him again.

Barseesa made sujood for Shaytan and that was the last thing he did in his life because shortly afterwards he was executed. The last thing he did in his life was sujood for Shaytan. Aabid, on the righteous path, but because he chose to take turn, even though it was a very very very small turn - in the beginning it was very insignificant - in the name of mas'laha, in the name of the benefit, in the name of mas'laha he did it. And it was a very small diversion that he took but look at where it ended. Look at the final destination.

That is the danger of following desire. Because sometimes we feel confident because of knowledge and because of the Qur'an we know and because of the ibaadah we are doing - subhan'Allah we should always be afraid on ourselves. We should never be overconfident, we should always be worried, and that is the khash'ya of Allah SWT and that is the true knowledge - "The ones who have the fear of Allah are the scholars." If you are a scholar then you have khash'ya of Allah, otherwise it is just memorization of verses in the mind that have no meaning in the actual world.

A side not on this story, what policy was Shaytan using with Barseesa? If Shaytan came to Barseesa from the beginning and told him "Make sujood to me", would Barseesa have done that? No he wouldn't. He took the step-by-step policy.

Ultimate in Self -Sacrifice

"No one of you is a believer until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself."
[Saying of the Prophet Muhammad(peace be upon him)]

Many years ago, when I worked at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Ameena who was suffering from a rare and serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother Abdullah, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother Abdullah carefully, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister Ameena who needed it urgently to survive..

I saw Abdullah hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it, if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the colour returning to Ameena's cheeks.

Then Abdullah's face grew pale and his smile faded. Then Abdullah looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away?"

Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister Ameena all of his blood in order to save her life.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet of Allah [peace be upon him] said:

"He who removes from a believer one of his difficulties of this world, Allah will remove one of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection"

OUR ALLAH IS SO GREAT!!!

OUR ALLAH IS SO GREAT!!!

This story was written by a Muslim doctor who worked in Africa.

One night I had worked hard to help a mother in the labor ward;  but in spite of all we could do she died leaving us with a  tiny premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter.

We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive, as we had no incubator.
(We had no electricity to run an incubator.) We also had no special feeding facilities. Although we lived on the equator,  nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts.

One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool the baby would be wrapped in. Another went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle.
She came back shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the  bottle, it had burst. Rubber perishes easily in tropical climates.

And it is our last hot water bottle!" she exclaimed.
It is no good crying over spilled milk, so in Central Africa it might be considered no good crying over burst  water bottles. They do not grow on trees, and there are no  medicine stores down forest pathways.

"All right," I said, "put the baby as near the fire as you  safely  can, and sleep between the baby and the door to keep it  free  from drafts. "Your job is to keep the baby warm."
The following noon, as I did most days, I went to have prayers  with any of the orphanage children who chose to gather with me.

I gave the youngsters various suggestions of things to pray  about  and told them about the tiny baby.  I explained our problem about keeping the baby warm enough, mentioning the hot water bottle. The baby could so easily die  if it got chills. I also told them of the two-year-old  sister,  crying  because her mother had died.

During the prayer time, one ten-year-old girl, prayed with  the usual blunt conciseness of our African children. "Please,  Allah,"  she prayed, "send us a water bottle. It'll be no good  tomorrow,  Allah, as the baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon."

While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added  by way of a corollary, "And while You are about it, would You  please send a dolly for the little girl so she'll know You  really  love her?"

As often with children's prayers, I was put on the spot. Could I  honestly say, "Ameen?" I just did not sincerely believe that  this was really possible.

Oh, yes, I know that Allah can do everything. The Holy Quraan says so.

But my faith was not so strong, surely there are limits, aren't there? The only way Allah  could answer  would be for a package to arrive from my home country.

I had been in Central Africa for almost four years at that time, and I had  never, ever received a parcel from home. Anyway, if anyone  did  send me a parcel, who would put in a hot water bottle? I  lived on  the equator!

Halfway through the afternoon, while I was teaching in the  nurses' training school, a message was sent that there was  a car  at my front door. By the time I reached home, the car had  gone,  but there, on the verandah, was a large twenty-two kilogram parcel.

I felt tears pricking my eyes. I could not open the parcel  alone,  so I sent for the orphanage children. Together we pulled  off the  string, carefully undoing each knot. We folded the paper,  taking  care not to tear it unduly. Excitement was mounting
.
Some thirty or forty pairs of eyes were focused on the large  cardboard box. From the top, I lifted out brightly colored, knitted  cotton  jerseys. Eyes sparkled as I gave them out. Then there were the  knitted bandages for the leprosy patients, and the children  looked  a little bored. Then came a box of mixed raisins and  sultanas-  that would make a batch of buns for the weekend. Then, as I put  my hand in again, I felt the...could it really be? I grasped it and  pulled it out -- yes, a brand-new, rubber hot water bottle, I cried.  I had not asked Allah to send it; I had not truly believed that He could.

The ten year old was in the front row of the children. She rushed  forward, crying out, If Allah has sent the bottle, He must have sent the  dolly,  too!"

Rummaging down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the  small,  beautifully dressed rag dolly. The little rag dolly had no eyes, ears or even a mouth. But yes it was a dolly. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted.

Looking up at me, she asked: "Can I go over with you, Mummy, and  give this rag dolly to that little girl, so she'll know that Allah  really  loves  her?"

That parcel had been on the way for five whole months.  Packed up by my former school class, whose leader had  heard and obeyed Allah's prompting to send a hot water bottle, even  to  the equator. And one of the girls had put in a rag dolly for an African  child-  five months before -- in answer to the believing prayer of  a ten-  year-old  to bring it "that afternoon."

"Before they call for prayer, I will answer all prayers!"

Allah wants us to ask of Him…and he will surely answer.

Please share this amazing story with as many others as you can.

Our Allah really IS . . . AN AWESOME Allah!
